The wet environment helps to avoid bacterial development, prevent infection, and protect skin. The dressing stops the growth of bacteria and germs like Pseudomonas A, MRSA, Staphylococcus A, E. Coli, and Streptococcus P. There is a range of wound dressings available with a variable circumference to take up irregular injury areas.
Highly Absorbent: Independent laboratory studies have demonstrated that Elasto-Gel absorbs 3.5 times more exudate at 24 hours than than recognized highly absorbent dressings. Elasto-Gel may be used in place of Hydrocolloids, Hydrogels, and Membrane Dressings. Elasto-Gel will not replace alginates when fast absorption is desired. Elasto-Gel will absorb exudate, protect the wound, help form a moist wound environment, prevent maceration of healthy skin, and will never dry out.
CAUTION:
The dressing must be protected from water or moisture.

Select the correct dressing size.
Clean the wound and match the right-sized dressing for the wound.
The dressing ought to extend 2.5 cm to 5 cm above the wound for best results.
Dressing can be cut to reach the affected area with scissors. Be sure to leave clear adhesive tape on the gel side while cutting or while resizing with scissors.
Without removing the fabric backing, remove the clear film and apply the gel directly to the wounded area.
Apply tape, elastic wraps, gauze wraps, stretching nets, or similar products to securely wrap the dressing.
If the dressing is saturated with fluids, change out the dressing.
