The 3pp ThumSaver CMC Thumb Support - Long has been carefully designed to limit thumb and wrist motion for pain relief from arthritis or tendinitis. It can also be used for protection following cast removal. This full-length thumb splint protects the wrist and thumb from the pain of severe tendinitis or CMC arthritis or following scaphoid fractures while allowing for light activity. It holds the thumb in a functional position that allows you to grasp objects to perform light daily activities. This is a thin, lightweight splint that includes felt pads to provide cushioning where needed. Seamless molded design will not break or change shape with heat and resists stains. This splint offers firm control to limit or stop motion, in order to allow affected joints and tissues to heal. Severe pain from overuse or arthritis requires full rest to quiet the pain. In such instances, a molded plastic splint or one with a metal stay is needed, to offer the required amount of control.
