A sensory evaluation is a process used to evaluate a person's ability to perceive, feel, and taste. It is also used to assess a person's ability to identify and discriminate different sensory stimuli. The evaluation can be done in an individual or group setting. Here at Pro Therapy Supplies, we offer Baseline West Sensory Evaluators. Weinstein Enhanced Sensory Test (WEST) uses five monofilaments to measure skin sensitivity and peripheral nerve involvement. Monofilament tips are round and textured for reliable testing. Two or more filaments can be used for testing Including case (4.5" by 6.5"), test form, and manual. WEST-D provides an evaluation range from reduced tactile sensation on the face up to loss of protective sensation of the foot. Ideal instrument for testing tactile sensation at various locations. West Hand, Foot and D" monofilaments are individually calibrated. We also have Baseline Touch-Test Sensory Evaluators. Baseline touch-test sensory evaluators are devices that can be used to measure a person's ability to detect touch sensations. These devices can be used to help researchers study touch sensation and Touch Apraxia.
